Training for new customers from Thailand: a focus on exotic animals

Sunday, May 7, 2017

ASAlaser held an MLS® training course at its headquarters from 3rd to 5th May. The course focused on exotic animals and was addressed to a group of veterinary doctors from Thailand who recently introduced our Mphi Vet Orange solution to their centres, with the support of Product Specialist Adelmo Rossin for the clinical aspect, and of Giacomo Granozio, Area Manager, for the technical aspect. The practical session was carried out by Doctors Elena Tognato and Silvia Meggiolaro at the Thermal Physiopet clinic in Montegrotto Terme, and by Doctor Giordano Nardini at the Modena Sud Veterinary Clinic.

The visit to Doctor Nardini’s clinic, equipped with high-level technology both as concerns diagnostics and for chemical analyses, was particularly interesting for the Thai delegation. This was followed by a visit to the reptile house during which the President of SIVAE, an Mphi Vet Orange device user, flanked by his staff, analysed some results obtained with MLS® Laser Therapy. In particular he discussed a wound to the tail of a male tortoise, a wound to a snake’s mouth and two cases of dermatitis on a rabbit and a snake, treated in real time.

Additionally, the doctors were able to share their different experiences concerning the treatment of diseases which affect tortoises, rabbits, snakes and other exotic animals such as sugar gliders, which are very popular as pets in Thailand.

“The enthusiasm and satisfaction of the group of Thai vets was very evident at the end of the workshop – reported Adelmo Rossin – Doctor Senarat from the Kasetsart University and Doctor Asavanamuang both stated they were very pleased with the training they had received, as it had been clear and exhaustive in every aspect.”
