Research and clinical cases with MLS

Research: MLS® effective for necrotizing fasciitis

The application of MLS® Laser Therapy in the treatment of necrotizing fasciitis helps reduce drug therapies and recovery times. This was shown by a recent study conducted on a 6-year-old dog that, affected by this pathology in the perineal region and in the hind limbs, in 45 days saw the reconstruction of the skin and the regrowth of hair without significant scars.
THE CASE: RABBIT WITH PODODERMATITIS SUCCESSFULLY TREATED BY MLS®
Dago is a 2-year-old rabbit suffering from an evolving third-degree pododermatitis of the left hind leg that, in the past, was also the victim of a fracture of the calcaneus healed imperfectly with serious consequences on joint movements. After showing the presence of enterococci in the lesion, the rabbit was subjected to antibiotic and anti-inflammatory therapy and to local treatments. MLS® Laser Therapy proved to be particularly effective, which, performed for 3 weeks with a frequency of 3 sessions every 7 days, already from the first sessions resulted in a rapid granulation of the wound and an improvement of locomotion.
NEW MARKETS AND TRAINING: MLS® IN A LEADING ROLE
Spotlights on MLS®. The therapy was the centre of attention at international conventions held in Mexico (Congreso Veterinario De León), Colombia (CVDC 2019), and Singapore (Singapore VET Show), and the subject of training aimed at the Vet sector. Training and specific courses have indeed highlighted its benefits during the theoretical-practical physiatry course at Calì, during the Spanish stop of the CCRP (Certified Canine Rehabilitation Practitioner), and in the dermatological field at the UNISVET Executive Master.
