PROFESSIONAL ALLIES

VETERINARY SURGEON AND VETERINARY TECHNICIAN

Among the new professional figures that improve the quality of patient care, a prominent role is covered by Veterinary Technicians, whose importance is highlighted by Doctor Chiara Chiaffredo. A veterinary surgeon specialised in physiotherapy and sports medicine, in charge of the training organised by ATAV: “Introduction to laser therapy for Veterinary Technicians”, focusing on MLS® and on the M-VET device, she states:

Teamwork is the name of the game also as concerns the use of instrumental therapies, laser therapy in primis: the Veterinary Surgeon establishes the therapy and instructs the Veterinary Technician in order for it to be applied correctly. Yes, his/her task is strictly operational, but no less worthwhile for this reason. On the contrary, correctly learning how to best use a laser is a decisive factor for achieving the desired result.

MLS® IN DERMATOLOGY

TWO NEW CLINICAL CASES

Whether we are talking about wounds or adenitis, MLS® Laser Therapy is confirmed as a valid support for the best recovery of the patient, as is demonstrated by the cases of the cat Romeo and of the ferret Forrest. Applying the «Wound (infected)» program for 3 sessions and the “Wound” program for 12, in fact led to the feline with a broken left thighbone and a serious injury to the right one, caused by being run over, to recover and subsequently to be adopted.

Forrest instead only needed 5 sessions with MLS® using the «Perianal gland inflammation» protocol to considerably reduce the volume of the lesion and the hyperaemia in the affected area to recover its best health condition.
