The ASA headquarters hosted an intensive workshop dedicated to veterinary laser puncture, a topic of great emerging interest in the veterinary medicine landscape. The meeting, led by Doctors Arya Sukhathummo and Silvia Meggiolaro, involved a select group of 12 sector professionals who took part in theoretical and practical sessions to explore the application of the M-VET laser in acupuncture protocols.
A training program combining science and tradition
The morning was dedicated to the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and to the physiology of energy points, with a specific focus on the use of laser frequencies in meridian stimulation.
The afternoon allowed participants to put what they had learned into practice: first on anatomical models and then on a real patient, to directly experience the precision and safety of the application with the M-VET laser, characterised by continuous and pulsed synergistic emission (patented MLS® pulse).

Interactive teaching and excellent training
The division into small groups, led by the specialists, ensured personalised and highly practical learning, greatly appreciated by the participants.
The professionalism of the speakers, the clarity of their presentations and the ability to make complex concepts accessible were distinctive elements of the event, which received excellent assessments from all attendees.
A niche topic with great clinical potential
Laser puncture is still a little-explored area in veterinary medicine, but with a growing evidence of efficacy and a strong interest from professionals.
The union between acupuncture tradition and MLS® laser technology expands therapeutic possibilities, offering non-invasive and scientifically based solutions for animal welfare.
