Clinical case

  • Brought to the clinic due to chronic gingivostomatitis unresponsive to drugs.
  • Drooling, loss of appetite, in particular, inability to take in wet food;
  • Positive leishmaniasis: allopurinol

Therapy

  • NSAIDs for the first 5 days
  • MLS® Laser Therapy: “Gingivitis-stomatitis” program in point-to-point mode with Ø 0.8 cm lens.
    Treatment frequency:
    • three times a week for the first week
    • twice a week for two weeks
    • once a week for three weeks
  • Suggested maintenance therapy

Rapid resolution of pain after the first week with great improvement in inflammation.
