ATAV: veterinary technicians analyse MLS® and M-VET Laser Therapy

Cremona calls out to Rome for a practical-theoretical course focused on laser therapy and addressed to Veterinary Technicians, the professional figures that aim to assist Vets during their outpatient activity.

The training course “An introduction to laser therapy for veterinary technicians”, organised by ATAV (Association of Veterinary Technicians) on 25th September saw the involvement of ASA staff in both course locations: both during the theoretical speech in the morning to explain the principles, action mechanisms and biological effects of laser, and during the practical afternoon session where the MLS® Laser Therapy systems were presented from the point of view of daily use and practicality.

“The Cremona course participants – Giulia Randazzo, ASA Product Specialist explains – were on average without any knowledge of laser therapy in the veterinary field and therefore very curious to find out its use and benefits. Particularly during the practical session, when not only were they able to try out the device, but also to verify the application protocols of MLS® on two Golden Retrievers, their interest was tangible and valuable feedback was collected”.

The device’s design, interactivity and ease of use were only a few of the elements highlighted by the professionals in attendance, who particularly appreciated the possibility of employing the laser’s point to point mode. The intervention by Doctor Chiara Chiaffredo, DVM, CCRP and in charge of the event, was extremely useful as she was able to supply targeted answers to the Technicians’ queries, interested in obtaining precise explanations on the matter.

Doctor Raimondo Aniello and Doctor Flavia Bartolini proceeded in a similar manner by outlining several clinical cases to attendees.

“Afterwards – Beniamino Caruso and Alberto Zaghetto, ASA Sales Managers explain – we presented MLS® Laser Therapy and in particular the M-VET device which gained a great deal of positive feedback particularly thanks to its intuitive use, a decisive factor for responding to daily outpatient activity. The practical session was also very effective. This allowed the technical veterinarians to dispel doubts by posing requests and asking questions in relation to laser therapy in general, to MLS® technology, to M-VET, its protocols and treatment methods. A training session that was assessed as very useful for anyone wishing to embark on this route with confidence”.
