A complete training event with theory and clinical practice
On 8th and 9th May 2025, at the CALT Premium Stables in Vijfhuisen, the Netherlands, an intensive training session was held dedicated to the in-depth study of the use of MLS® Laser Therapy. The initiative, organised in collaboration with the ASAlaser Nederland partner, involved a selected group of veterinarians, customers and potential customers, with the aim of strengthening clinical skills and confidence in the use of MLS® laser systems on small animals and horses.
Day 1: Small animals – arthrosis, trauma and practical applications
The first day placed small animals as the focus of attention, with training that alternated theoretical moments with practical sessions on real clinical cases. After the welcome and introduction by the ASA team, Dr. Mila Speciani (DVM) and Roberto Terruzzi (ASA Senior Export Sales Manager) guided the participants through an update on the physical and biological principles of laser therapy, its application methods and clinical indications.
During the afternoon session, participants were able to put into practice what they had learned directly on canine patients, treating orthopaedic and post-traumatic disorders such as osteoarthritis and muscle pain, using all the functions of the M-VET device.

Day 2: Equines – focus on tendonitis and trigger points
The second day was dedicated to the equine world, again under the guidance of Dr. Speciani. After reviewing the basic concepts of laser therapy, the focus shifted to specific protocols for horses, with an overview of the trigger points and with treatment simulations on musculoskeletal and tendinitis disorders.
The “hands-on” session was particularly appreciated, as the professionals were able to carry out guided applications on the horses in the facility, verifying the therapeutic response and the optimal administration methods in real time.

Why take part: the advantages of ASAveterinary training
These two days highlighted the value of personalised and immersive training: in-person learning, the exchange of views with experts, sharing clinical experiences and, above all, using MLS® technology in the field allows veterinarians to:
- Consolidate mastery in the use of the laser in different animal species;
- Integrate modern and non-invasive therapeutic protocols;
- Offer patients an effective approach to managing pain, inflammation and tissue regeneration.
Testimonials and upcoming events
The active participation and enthusiasm of those present confirm how MLS® Laser Therapy is an increasingly appreciated resource in daily clinical practice. The feedback collected during the workshop shows a high level of satisfaction, in particular as concerns the clarity of the contents, the effectiveness of the practical part and the usefulness of the protocols illustrated.
