University of Naples research confirms the effectiveness of ASA Technology

A new study conducted by the Department of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Naples Federico II confirms the value of the ongoing scientific research behind ASA's technological solutions. The trial analysed the effects of laser puncture, a methodology that combines the principles of traditional acupuncture with laser-induced photobiomodulation, in the treatment of canine osteoarthritis.

A non-invasive approach to managing chronic pain

The research — conducted on a group of 19 dogs with osteoarthritis — showed how the use of MLS® technology (with ASAveterinary's M-VET device) led to a significant improvement in joint mobility and a reduction in pain.
Animals treated with laser puncture showed:

  • a marked decrease in inflammatory markers (IL-6)
  • an increase in antioxidant and anti-inflammatory markers (IL-10, BAP),

proof of a positive modulation of the biological response and of a long-lasting analgesic effect.

M-VET and MLS® Laser Therapy
